Two Lincolnshire schools have been given awards for their roles in promoting sport amongst youngsters.
Gonerby Hill Foot Church of England Primary School and Helpringham School were handed Activemark Gold Awards by Sport England.
The schools were the only ones in the East Midlands to be given the honour in the round of awards.
They had to meet a range of targets, including promoting the benefits of sport throughout the school.
Councillor Patricia Bradwell, Lincolnshire County Council's executive member for children's services, said: "I am delighted that two of our primary schools have achieved this prestigious gold standard.
"It is important that young people are encouraged to keep fit through the enjoyment of sport."
