Closed road drives customers away
A Lincs karting company believes it has lost about £10,000 after a council closed a road without any notice.

Skegness Karting at Croft said the two-week closure of Low Road has had a disastrous affect on customer numbers.

Lincs County Council has admitted mistakes were made and people were not told about the closure.

It has apologised and installed temporary traffic lights instead. But Chris Cooper, owner of the karting firm is disgusted and wants compensation.

He had no notice Low Road would shut and claims customers were unable to find their way through.

The council said the road closure application was lost, meaning the proper procedures were not followed.
