Man is killed by concrete block
A man has died after a large piece of concrete fell on him.

The victim was at Bell and Webster Concrete in Grantham, Lincolnshire, when the accident happened at 0700 BST on Monday.

Police, the fire service and ambulances were called to the scene at Alma Road, where they found the man pinned beneath a concrete block.

The man was taken to Grantham Hospital suffering severe leg, chest and arm injuries but died soon after.

It is believed a concrete block being moved on an overhead gantry fell to the ground and crushed him.

The Health and Safety Executive has been called in to investigate the incident.
