A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a cyclist who was involved in a road traffic incident in Leicester on Tuesday.

The un-named man is expected to appear before magistrates in Leicester.

Adrian Bridgeman, 25, of New Parks, died at Leicester Royal Infirmary after his cycle was in collision with a van on New Parks Boulevard.

A 24-year-old man has been released on police bail and a 16-year-old boy released without charge.

Mr Bridgeman's parents have issued a statement saying: "Ady was a kind, caring and loving son, brother and uncle. He didn't have a bad bone in his body and was always smiling and laughing.

"He adored his nieces and nephews and they will miss him tremendously, as we all will."
