The bus had to be towed away

A bus has crashed into a house in Leicestershire.

The double decker ploughed into the front of the house in Jewsbury Way, Thorpe Astley, Braunstone, shortly after 1000 GMT.

Police said there was nobody in the house at the time and the two people on board the bus were uninjured.

The bus damaged the front porch of the house, according to officers. Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash to contact them.
