Three appear on harassment charge

Three teenagers have appeared in court accused of harassing a woman in a Leicestershire village.

Billy-Joe Kenney, 19, of Elwell Avenue in Barwell, and two youths aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named, pleaded not guilty before Hinckley magistrates.

They face a charge of harassing a resident of Bardon Road in Barwell between 1 September and 7 October.

The three pleaded not guilty and were granted bail to await trial on 22 December.

The teenagers are alleged to have sworn at the woman, shouted and gestured at her in the street and to have played loud music until the early hours of the morning.

On Tuesday a fourth teenager, aged 16, who cannot be named, appeared at Hinckley Youth Court charged with harassing a different person.

He denied harassment and using threatening words and behaviour and was bailed to stand trial on 5 January.
