Man fatally injured in collision

A man has died following a car crash in Leicestershire.

It happened on Sunday afternoon on the B591 Copt Oak Road, in Copt Oak, near the Beacon Road junction.

One driver - described by police as an elderly man - was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary but died in the early hours of the morning.

The driver and passenger in a second car were treated for minor injuries. Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision.
