Experts say everyone can save money by improving insulation

Energy experts used thermal imaging cameras from a helicopter to find out how homes and businesses in Leicester are conserving heat.

Environmental officials from E.On flew over the city to conduct the survey ahead of environmental roadshows in High Cross on 5 and 6 November.

The footage will show where homes are losing heat as experts hand out advice on how to save money on energy bills.

They said improving insulation can save householders up to £300 each year.

Kevin Bryant, of E.On, said: "Everyone can do something to increase the energy efficiency of their home.

"Energy wastage is bad and we've all got to stop doing it."
