Customs officers have seized more than seven million cigarettes in a raid on an industrial unit in Leicester.

The goods, which are believed to be counterfeit, had been smuggled into the UK from China and were discovered on Wednesday.

The consignment of cigarettes had been incorrectly described as stoneware mugs.

Two men, aged 28 and 39, and both from Nottingham, were arrested at the site and are being questioned.
