Murder accused appears in court

Krystian Gidek had been in the UK for six months

A man has been charged with the murder of a Polish national who was found dead in a Leicester house.

Damian Rokita, 21, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody after appearing at Leicester Magistrates' Court accused of killing Krystian Jerzy Gidek.

The body of Mr Gidek, 26, who had suffered injuries consistent with an assault, was found at a house in Western Road, on 16 February.

Two other men, aged 30 and 23, have been released without charge.
