A fifth man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man found in a Leicester house.

The 30-year-old is now being questioned by detectives.

The body of Krystian Jerzy Gidek, 26, a Polish national who had been in the country for about six months, was found in Western Road on Monday.

Four men - aged 20, 22, 23 and 26 - have already been arrested as part of the murder investigation and are still in police custody.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Gidek had suffered injuries consistent with an assault and his death is being treated as murder, police said.

They added that they could not confirm whether he lived at the property where he was found.

Forensic examinations are continuing at the house.
