Woman charged with man's murder

A woman has appeared in court charged with murdering a Leicester man who died from a single stab wound to his chest.

Stephen Vidal, 41, was found injured near his home in Carlton Street in the early hours of Friday and later died at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Sally Ann Wood, 34, of Wyville Road in the city, was remanded back into custody after appearing before magistrates on Monday.

She is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on 14 April.
