Transporter crash road reopened

A major route in Leicestershire has reopened after a car transporter spilt its load.

The accident happened between junctions 11 and 12 of the A42 near Measham as the transporter was travelling north.

The road was closed for most of Tuesday following the accident, which happened at 0900 GMT, and southbound traffic was diverted at junction 13.

A spokesman for the Highways Agency said the road was reopened just before midnight.
