Crash victim is named by police

A 32-year-old man who was killed in a road accident in Rutland has been named by police.

Derek Corke from Peterborough died when his Ford Transit van collided with a lorry on Normanton Park Road in Empingham on Monday afternoon.

Leicestershire Police have asked for anyone who saw what happened to get in touch with them.

Mr Corke was seriously injured and was pronounced dead at the scene, a police spokesman said.
