Driver killed in lorry collision

A man was killed when the van he was driving was involved in a collision with a lorry on a Rutland road.

Officers were called to Normanton Park Road in Empingham on Monday afternoon after the Ford Transit and DAF lorry crashed.

The driver of the Ford received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Leicestershire Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision to contact them.
