A man is recovering after being attacked by another man in Leicester city centre.

The 27-year-old victim was approached from behind and punched in the back of the head at 1720 BST on Wednesday.

It happened outside the International Supermarket Centre in the Humberstone Gate area.

The attacker then ran off with two other men down Clyde Street. Police said the victim was not injured, but have urged witnesses to come forward.

The suspect is described as being of eastern European appearance, around 5ft 8in, slim, in his early 30s, with straight black hair.
