Motorists who drive and park illegally in Leicester will be targeted by police in a new campaign.
Police will be working with parking wardens from Leicester City Council along Welford Road, issuing fines to drivers from 13 October.
Officers will also clamp and remove illegally-parked vehicles.
Pc Gavin White said the two-week crackdown was a response to increasing complaints from residents about inconsiderate parking.
Rush hour traffic
"Not only does it inconvenience residents and businesses, but it also puts the safety of other road users at risk and can obstruct emergency services," said Pc White.
The crackdown will focus on the stretch of Welford Road from its junctions with Victoria Park Road to Aberdale Road, as well as surrounding streets, including Muston Gardens, Heather Road, Herrick Road, Knighton Fields Road East, Oakland Road, Ashford Road and Brentwood Road.
Pc White added: "During the morning rush hour we will be focusing our efforts on Welford Road, in particular motorists who illegally use the bus lane to jump traffic queues on their way to work.
"We hope any action taken against motorists over the next two weeks will serve as a warning to others and help improve the safety of this busy road."
