Three arrests over street attack

CCTV footage released by police
Officer still want to trace three other women

Three women have been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Leicester which left three other women injured.

Billie Hewerdine, 45, her daughter Carlie Winkless, 20 and her friend Leona Carr, 20, were stabbed on Belvoir Street on 29 August.

Officers released CCTV footage of five women they wanted to speak to and arrested two women aged 21 and 22 who remain in police custody.

Police said they were still seeking two other women.

The victims of the attack are recovering after being treated in hospital.
