Knife robber takes woman's purse

A woman has been robbed at knifepoint in Leicester.

The 46-year-old victim was walking along Halford Street on Wednesday morning when a man grabbed her and demanded her purse.

He then took her into Free Lane and threatened her with a knife before he was picked up by a second, helmeted, man on a small motorbike.

The robber is described Asian, in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5ft 5in and 5ft 9in tall and of a heavy build.

The victim was left unhurt but badly shaken, police said.
