Man hurt in attack after argument

A 20-year-old needed hospital treatment after he was attacked in Leicester.

The attack happened after he argued with three men and a woman on London Road near the Saxby Street junction at around 2145 BST on Saturday.

The victim was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary with a puncture wound to his back.

A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Two men aged 17 and 19 were arrested for public order offences.

Det Con Carolyn Boyce said: "London Road is a busy area at this time on a Saturday night and we would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or the events leading up to it to please get in touch."
