Police have appealed for information after a serious fire at a supermarket in Rutland caused extensive damage.

An investigation has been launched into the fire at the Co-op store on Burley Road, in Oakham, on 29 July.

Officers said a burnt out Vauxhall Frontera found nearby was believed to have been used in the incident.

They are looking for any witnesses who saw the car being driven around in the area at the time of the fire or before the incident.

A joint investigation is being carried out by police and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service.
