Three arrested after shots fired

Police have arrested three men after gunshots were fired in Leicester on Wednesday evening.

Shots were fired at a vehicle on Shanklin Drive, near to its junction with Carrisbrooke Road, by occupants of another vehicle.

Leicestershire Police said they do not believe anyone was injured. Three men in their 20s were later arrested at a house in Hinckley.

The Hinckley property has been cordoned off to allow for forensic examination.

Shanklin Drive, Meadvale Road and Carrisbrooke Drive have also been closed to allow officers to conduct a detailed examination of the scene.

Police are trying to trace the second vehicle and house-to-house enquiries are being conducted in the Shanklin Drive area.
