Easter is busy time for airport
East Midlands Airport is anticipating a busier Easter period than last year.

About 95,000 people are expected to pass through between Thursday and Tuesday - a rise of 7% on the same period in 2007.

The airport is attributing the increase in numbers of passengers travelling to the growth in the number of its flight destinations.

Managing director Penny Coates is asking people using the airport this weekend to leave extra time.

Good Friday was predicted to be the busiest day, and Dublin, Alicante, Tenerife, Glasgow and Edinburgh were expected to be the most popular destinations at Easter.
