Cloths to combat sat nav thefts
Police in Leicestershire are handing out cloths to motorists in a bid to cut thefts of satellite navigation systems.

Officers said thieves were looking for windscreen marks which were left by the devices and then breaking into those vehicles to steal the systems.

Free cloths to remove the marks are available at Blaby, Wigston, Hinckley and Market Harborough police stations.

A police spokeswoman said: "Don't give thieves the temptation - wipe the tell-tale mark off."
