A tribute evening has been held in Rutland to honour a trainee policewoman who was murdered 10 months ago.
Pc Ward was six months away from graduating to full officer status
The family of Melissa Ward, 28, who was stabbed to death by her boyfriend, organised the event that was held on Saturday evening.
The money raised will be used to install a memorial bench in Braunston.
Ms Ward's body was found in the kitchen of her home in Oakham on 5 January 2006 next to the body of Benedict Marlow, 33, who had killed himself.
Coroners at an inquest in May recorded a verdict of unlawful killing on the trainee policewoman.
The event was held at Victoria Hall in High Street, Oakham, and featured entertainment and a raffle.
Any extra money will go into a trust fund set up in her name to support police officers wanting to engage in community work or projects with underprivileged children.
