Appeal after car enthusiast dies

The car hit a tree on the A6 near Quorn
Police investigating the death of a motorist are appealing for help from people who may have seen him at a gathering of car enthusiasts.

Neil Sleath, 20, from Mountsorrel, hit a tree on his way home from a retail park in Loughborough, Leicestershire on Wednesday evening.

A 20-yer-old man was arrested and questioned about the incident, but later released on bail.

Mr Sleath's 27-year-old passenger was injured in the accident near Quorn.

Police are looking at footage from CCTV cameras at the retail park and have appealed to anyone who was at the park on Wednesday evening to contact them.

Officers have also said they wanted to trace a light-coloured Peugeot which was seen in the area at the time of the crash.
