Town's park to get a major revamp
Improvements are to be made to a park in a Leicestershire town.

The Welland Park Management Plan has been approved by district councillors for an extensive revamp of green spaces in Market Harborough.

Along with a general overhaul of the park, improvements may include a community tennis club, picnic area and better facilities for young people.

Councillor Bev Field said she wanted the town to be proud of its park - and to use it for decades to come.

"It's ensuring that the excellent park facilities and services are maintained and are built on, so that they continue to improve, so more and more people can be using the park and appreciating it," she said.
