Anti-nuclear campaigners arrested
Around 20 anti-nuclear protestors from Leicestershire have been arrested during a demonstration outside a missile base in Scotland.

They were opposing government plans revealed in a White Paper to spend up to 20bn on a new generation of submarines for Trident missiles.

The protesters staged a demonstration at Faslane where the missiles are made.

CND spokesman Steve Massey said: "There's a lot of noise going on, people are actually being arrested."

He added: "What we're doing is blockading the entrance of the base to stop people coming in or going out.

"There's quite a few police here, and what we've done is locked on with chains and things in front of the gate."
