A web-site set up by a Leicestershire school's deputy head and pupils could be hailed as one of the world's best.
Youngsters enjoy making their own pages on the site
Woodland Grange school's website, is one of five competing for the title of internet firm Yahoo's best education site for 2005.
The school, in Oadby, faces a tough contest with organisations such as US space agency Nasa and the British Geographical Society also nominated.
The site enables pupils to learn at home and write about their experiences.
Videos of events like school assemblies are also featured and the youngsters say they enjoy making their own pages, debating and brain-storming - and planning games on the site.
Deputy head Richard Smyton said: "We all logged on, eager to see who we were up against and when we saw Nasa, the British Geological Society, designed by professionals... well! The children are so excited."
The school has now been inundated with requests from other schools for help to develop their web-sites.
