New waste recycling centre opens
A new recycling site where residents can take their household waste has opened in Leicester.

The paper, bottle and clothing banks have been placed on land between the Good Neighbour public house and shops on Aikman Avenue in New Parks.

Run by the city council, land for the site has been donated by the council's housing department to help residents in nearby flats to recycle rubbish easily.

Paper, cardboard, glass bottles, clothes and shoes can be left there.
