Armed raiders strike in rush hour
Two armed raiders have escaped with cash after a raid on a bank in Lutterworth, Leicestershire.

The men, one of them carrying a crowbar, went into the building on High Street in the town on Friday afternoon and demanded money.

Staff raised the alarm but the robbers fled with an amount of cash.

No-one was injured during the robbery, which happened in the afternoon rush hour. The two men left on a red motorbike or scooter.

Dark-coloured helmets

They travelled along Misterton Way at about 1630 GMT.

Both men wore dark-coloured boiler suits and crash helmets.

Det Insp Lee Hill said: "The incident took place around Friday rush hour and the area would have been very busy with shoppers or people on their way home from work.

"I am urging anyone who saw the men before the incident, or saw them fleeing from the scene on the scooter, to get in touch with us."
