Cash pours in to regenerate city
European cash is helping create hundreds of new jobs in Leicester.

The city has received a grant of 41.5m for the Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) to target crime and home safety.

The money is being used to support projects in the Belgrave, Braunstone, North West Leicester, Saffron and Greater Humberstone parts of the city.

Organisers were set a target of 720 jobs to be found, with Leicester city councillors being told that 710 people have so far been helped into work.

There are schemes to get people back into work, to support young people and prevent them getting into crime.
