The girlfriend of a man fatally stabbed at a party has described the moment she realised he was injured.
Jilly Slater told Leicester Crown Court how Harry Botton, 35, asked her not to worry as he showed her his wounds.
Mr Botton, of Newark, Notts, was knifed shortly after 0400 GMT on 1 January at the Lounge One nightclub in Welford Road, Leicester.
Darren Brownlow, 33, and Elliot Rainford, 20, both from Leicester, deny murder.
Mr Botton had been celebrating with Miss Slater and a group of friends when he was attacked.
She said Mr Botton had indicated he was hurt and then told her: "Don't you panic".
He had been stabbed a dozen times in his chest, neck, upper body and buttocks in an attack whose motive is unknown.
Mr Botton's heart was punctured during the incident, and he died with minutes after collapsing in the street in front of CCTV cameras.
Miss Slater added that she followed her injured boyfriend out of the club and encountered Mr Brownlow in the car-park, where she confronted him.
She identified Mr Brownlow, of The Martival, New Humberstone, and Mr Rainford, of Sawday Street, at a police ID parade, the court heard.
The trial continues.
