Blackburn Rovers' El Hadji Diouf faces driving charges

Premier League footballer El Hadji Diouf has been charged with driving without a licence or insurance.

The Blackburn Rovers player was stopped in a Porsche Cayenne in Altrincham Road, Manchester, on 14 September, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said.

The 29-year-old striker, of Stokesby Gardens, Bolton, also faces two other motoring charges. He is due before Manchester magistrates on 10 May.

A spokesman for Blackburn Rovers declined to comment.
