A 34-year-old taxi driver has been killed in a road accident in east Lancashire.

The man, from Nelson, was driving a car which crashed on the A682 Burnley Road at Crawshawbooth in the early hours.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident and no passengers were inside the taxi, Lancashire Police said.
