Appeal over fatal crash witnesses

Police in Lancashire have appealed to several drivers who they believe witnessed a fatal crash.

A 55-year-old woman died when her Rover 25 and a Porsche collided on the A584 in Freckleton a week ago.

Lancashire Police said three or four drivers who were near the scene of the crash have not yet come forward.

Sgt Rob Gomery, of Lancashire Police, said: "We are particularly keen to hear from a nurse who is thought to have driven past the scene of the accident."

The Porsche driver, a 33-year-old man from Lytham, suffered minor injuries in the crash last Wednesday afternoon.
