Man charged after stabbing death

A man has been charged with the murder of a 43-year-old man found stabbed to death behind a house in Lancashire.

Michal Kalinowski, 21, of Abbeystead in Skelmersdale was arrested in Scotland on Sunday and was charged a day later.

The victim, Peter Berkley from Ormskirk, was discovered dead by a resident at the back of a property in Skelmersdale at the weekend.

A police spokesman said Mr Kalinowski is due to appear before Ormskirk Magistrates later.
