Man charged over city rape attack

Police have charged a man with the rape of a 21-year-old woman who was forced into a car in Preston.

The 29-year-old from Blackpool is charged with rape, kidnap and false imprisonment. He is due before Preston magistrates on Monday.

The woman was walking along Church Street on 29 October when she was attacked.

Police are still trying to trace a couple who are seen on CCTV walking ahead of the victim on Church Street.
