Four men have been arrested during raids on several homes in Lancashire in connection with a post-match fight between rival football fans.

They have been questioned about what has been described as a large-scale battle between Blackburn Rovers and Burnley supporters on 18 October.

A fight broke out at the Station Pub in Cherry Tree Road, Blackburn, after Rovers beat Burnley in the derby tie.

Police said 33 men have already been arrested in connection with the brawl.

Tablets seized

The four latest men have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

They are aged 17, 19, 28 and 34, and are all from the Blackburn area.

The 19-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs after officers seized about 200 suspected ecstasy tablets.

The 28-year-old man has been bailed pending further inquiries, while the other three men are being questioned.

A further two men, aged 25 and 26, from Burnley have been charged with committing violent disorder in connection with the disorder.
