Man arrested over student's rape

A man has been arrested by police on suspicion of raping a student after she left a Lancaster nightclub.

The victim, 19, had left the Cuba nightclub in Dalton Square and had struck up a conversation with a man, who offered to walk her home.

The man then raped her in her home in the Moorlands area.

Lancashire Police have arrested a 19-year-old man from the Morecambe area on suspicion of rape. He is due to be questioned by officers.
