A funeral has taken place for a mother-of-three who died along with her husband following an arson attack on their home in Blackburn.

Ayesha Mohammed, 39, died from her injuries on Wednesday. Her husband, Abdullah, 41, was killed during the fire in London Road on 21 October.

Their daughter, Siddiqah, 14, and son, Mohammed, 9, were badly injured.

The funeral was held earlier at Pleasington Cemetery. Two men have been charged with murder and arson.

Peter Bowden, 39, from Lytham St Annes, and Imran Ali, 29, from Manchester, who are accused of murder and arson with intent to endanger life, were remanded in custody when they appeared in court on Friday.

Hundreds of mourners attended the funeral of Mr Mohammed earlier this week.

Mrs Mohammed and her children were rescued from the flames.

Siddiqah remains in a stable condition in hospital in Manchester. Her younger brother has been released and is being cared for by relatives.

The couple's 18-year-old son was away at university at the time of the fire.
