Four arrests at anti-BNP protest

A 16-year-old boy and three men have been arrested on suspicion of inciting racial hatred during protests against the British National Party (BNP).

Police said they believe those arrested were not part of the protest, which had been peaceful.

Up to 80 members of Unite Against Fascism gathered outside the New Kimberley Hotel during the BNP conference in Blackpool.

The boy and the three men, aged 21, 22 and 41 are being held in custody.
