A woman was threatened with a knife and robbed in a supermarket car park in Lancashire.
The woman was walking towards Asda in Clayton-le-Woods, Chorley, on Monday when a man pulled out a knife and told her to give him her handbag.
She dropped her bag to the floor and the man picked it up and ran off.
Lancashire Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the attacker, who is described as 5ft 8in (1.7m), white and in his 20s, to come forward.
He had scruffy blonde hair which was longer on the top and which may have been highlighted.
Pc Kyle Hazelaar, from Chorley Police Station, said: "I would appeal to anyone who may have seen this man at the time of the offence or knows anyone in the local area matching his description to contact the police as a matter of urgency.
"It is possible that somebody who was on the Asda car park or near to the leisure centre may have noticed something which could help with our investigation.
"When the silver car drove away it nearly crashed into another car at the mini roundabout on the car park. I would like to speak to the driver of this car who may have vital information."
