Blood of a murder victim whose body has not been found has been discovered in a car in Lancashire.
Officers believe Alan Street, 26, was killed at a house in Padiham, before Christmas. His blood was found in the Stockbridge Road property.
Two men, Alan Palmer and Peter Leonard, are wanted by detectives.
Mr Street's blood has now been found in the boot of Mr Palmer's blue Mitsubishi Colt, which was uncovered in Accrington last week.
Det Supt Neil Hunter, of Lancashire Police, said: "We are conducting extensive enquiries in our efforts to find Alan Street's body and have extended the search for him in response to information we have received from the public."

Mr Street was on the sex offenders register, but police have not released any further details.
Police want to hear from walkers who may have seen men acting suspiciously on open land between Oswaldtwistle and Knuzden, or at Rivington Pike.
Det Supt Hunter has said that people have helped Mr Palmer and Mr Leonard in hiding from the police.
"If anyone chooses this course of action then they will be arrested and could face serious criminal charges," he said.
"If they wish to avoid being arrested then I would strongly advise them to come forward with any information they have which, if necessary, will be treated in confidence."
