An investigation has started into the cause of a mill fire which led to an emergency operation in Burnley.

Up to 100 firefighters were involved in tackling the blaze at the Woodfold Mill on Trafalgar Street on Friday night.

About 30 residents were forced to leave their homes and part of the building later collapsed. No-one was hurt.

Watch manager Pete Ashworth, of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, said the scale of the fire posed a "huge challenge" for fire crews.

Trafalgar Street is currently closed.
