Six charged over man's kidnapping

Six people have been charged by police over the kidnap and violent assault of a man in Preston, Lancashire.

The 21-year-old victim was taken by a gang after a van was deliberately driven into his BMW on 11 April.

He was dragged out of the car and held captive for three hours in the vehicle, where he was also assaulted.

The six men from Preston, aged between 23 and 32, are charged with conspiracy to kidnap and assault. They will appear before city magistrates on Thursday.

A 26-year-old man, from Burnley, and a 31-year-old man, from Blackburn, have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
