Man charged after police searches

A man has been charged with firearms offences after police searched several addresses in Lancashire.

The man was arrested by police who searched a property on Leadale Green in Leyland and the Triple X Gym on Dunkirk Lane in the town over the weekend.

Searches were also carried out in Chorley, where five men were arrested on suspicion of drug offences.

Police also searched a pub on Ormskirk Road in Up Holland and arrested three people who are now being questioned.

The five men arrested in Chorley have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The 43-year-old man who was charged with firearms offences is due before Chorley magistrates later.
