A 19-year-old man has died after the car he was in struck a crash barrier in east Lancashire.
Andrew Taylor was in a Silver Ford Mondeo which went out of control on the A678 Blackburn Road at Clayton-le-Moors on Saturday evening.
Mr Taylor, from Burnley, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another 19-year-old from Burnley suffered minor injuries.
Lancashire Police said a 37-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The man, from Hyndburn, has since been released on bail, a spokeswoman said.
Witness appeal
No other vehicle was involved in the crash, which happened at about 1800 BST near the Dunkehalgh Hotel. Police are appealing for witnesses.
Sgt Pete Sculpher, leading the investigation, said: "I would ask anybody who witnessed the collision or saw a silver Mondeo on Blackburn Road heading towards Rishton before the collision to contact police.
"I am particularly keen to speak to the occupants of a red vehicle who stopped at the scene but left before police arrived.
"It is possible they could hold vital information which will help us piece together what happened."
