Homes without water after burst

Up to 4,000 homes in Lancashire could be without water as work is carried out to repair a burst water main.

United Utilities said the properties in the Forton and Scorton areas will be affected from 2030 BST.

Engineers need to turn the water off while they investigate and repair the burst water main in a field in Garstang.

A spokesman for the company said it was not yet known yet when the water supply was to be returned.
