Charges over speeding fine fraud

Another six men have been charged by police in Lancashire investigating speeding fine fraud.

The inquiry centres on people avoiding taking the blame, and incurring the subsequent penalty points, by "offloading" the offence onto others.

Six men aged between 35 and 62 and a woman, 28, were charged with perverting the course of justice in June.

The six men, charged with the same offence, will appear before Blackburn magistrates in September.

A further seven men, including an 80-year-old, and two women have been bailed.
